The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Ryszard Domaracki managed to get in a good position for a shot. KS RUCH CHORZÓW's supporters rose to their feet, but Ryszard Domaracki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerzy Budzynski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Błękitny Grom's Jerzy Budzynski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Michel Mesnier in the 12th minute of play. When Ola Bukaka fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Błękitny Grom's protests and gave Ola Bukaka a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of KS RUCH CHORZÓW booed when Błękitny Grom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ola Bukaka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Izydor Sanocki was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. Jerzy Budzynski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute Jean-Michel Mesnier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Budzynski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ryszard Domaracki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerzy Budzynski having to interfere. Jedrzej Czeszyk made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by KS RUCH CHORZÓW's Max Unzaga. When Ryszard Domaracki fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KS RUCH CHORZÓW's protests and gave Ryszard Domaracki a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 minutes of play, KS RUCH CHORZÓW's Izydor Sanocki made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerzy Budzynski was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean-Michel Mesnier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Błękitny Grom booed when KS RUCH CHORZÓW was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakub Grocholski didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Błękitny Grom getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Antoni Sochacki hit a great ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Max Unzaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS RUCH CHORZÓW's supporters crossed their fingers, but Max Unzaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Izydor Sanocki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KS RUCH CHORZÓW's Octavio Bianchi was substituted for Jean-Michel Mesnier. Jerzy Budzynski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izydor Sanocki in the 73rd minute of play. Jerzy Budzynski came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by KS RUCH CHORZÓW's Max Unzaga. But to his dismay, Max Unzaga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octavio Bianchi in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerzy Budzynski saved Błękitny Grom from getting behind. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Octavio Bianchi sped through Błękitny Grom's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jerzy Budzynski. After 88 minutes of play, KS RUCH CHORZÓW's Octavio Bianchi made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerzy Budzynski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Octavio Bianchi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jerzy Budzynski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacy Domaradzki made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Napoleon Kazczyk sent off a good shot on target. KS RUCH CHORZÓW walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
