Lucjan Lanczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Arnista in the 12th minute of the match. The Lechia Gdańsk fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Lechia Gdańsk's Renato Chaves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of TS Wisła Kraków booed when Lechia Gdańsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Maxim who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Lucjan Lanczak when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lechia Gdańsk were victorious despite being under pressure from TS Wisła Kraków for much of the match.
