Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 154) Śląsk Katowice's Teofil Rzegotka started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Teofil Rzegotka came free, but Leszek Cichocki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boleslaw Porajewski hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Teofil Rzegotka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute Teofil Rzegotka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leszek Cichocki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teofil Rzegotka who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Leszek Cichocki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leszek Cichocki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofil Rzegotka, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute Śląsk Katowice were awarded a corner. Marco Amaral went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Marco Amaral almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Barcelona's Leszek Cichocki did a great save. Marco Amaral succeeded in the game's 16th minute to get real power on a long shot . Barcelona's Leszek Cichocki hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-0! 18 minutes into the match, Śląsk Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Jaroch came free, but Antoni Walaszkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Teofil Rzegotka sped through Barcelona's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leszek Cichocki. With a little luck, Barcelona's Leszek Cichocki got control of the ball when Abe Habenicht tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iwo Jaroch kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Leszek Cichocki made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Teofil Rzegotka sent off a good shot on target. Abe Habenichts short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Leszek Cichocki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Boruc Gierlach made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Abe Habenicht cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Leszek Cichocki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Leszek Dombrowski fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcelona's protests and gave Leszek Dombrowski a yellow card for diving instead. Śląsk Katowice's Marek Bronicki was substituted for Teofil Rzegotka. Leszek Dombrowski kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Leszek Cichocki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abe Habenicht, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Abe Habenicht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Abe Habenicht shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leszek Cichocki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marek Bronicki in the 70th minute of play forced Barcelona's goalkeeper Leszek Cichocki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marek Bronicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Śląsk Katowice made a substitution. Adelino Salgado replaced Abe Habenicht. Leszek Cichocki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wit Matuch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Marek Bronicki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leszek Cichocki. Barcelona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marek Bronicki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The supporters of Śląsk Katowice booed when Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wlodzimierz Soroka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leszek Cichocki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barcelona's Leszek Dombrowski got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute Adelino Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leszek Cichocki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barcelona's Leszek Cichocki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marek Bronicki in the 88th minute of play. When Śląsk Katowice's Marek Bronicki in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barcelona's goalie prevented a goal. Leszek Cichocki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marek Bronicki in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of Śląsk Katowice booed when Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franciszek Ziombkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Śląsk Katowice's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
