Walery Kolacki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olaf Pawlak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Teofil Siwek fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borowa Rzeszów's protests and gave Teofil Siwek a yellow card for diving instead. The Juventus Bydgoszcz players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Borowa Rzeszów were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
