With an all-out effort, NeverEndingStory's Gwidon Iwanowski threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wiktor Dziatkowicz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Andrzej Penc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Gwidon Iwanowski made a huge save. Maksymilian Jajesniak was shown his second yellow card after 37 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Bartosz Kapinos charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bartosz Kapinos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bartosz Kapinos hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match Kryspin Smolarek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gwidon Iwanowski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wladyslaw Laskowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jerzy Maziarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Andrzej Penc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwidon Iwanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
