The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The long shot by Damazy Zawaski in the 6th minute really tested Borys Lewkowicz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mariusz Mielak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyprian Lampa in the 9th minute of play. UNITED GWAREK's Borys Lewkowicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save UNITED GWAREK from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Antoni Parzysz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Napoleon Czerwinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Antoni Parzysz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Borys Lewkowicz. UNITED GWAREK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antoni Parzysz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 26th minute Bogumil Dombrowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariusz Mielak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. UNITED GWAREK were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after CWKS Legia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pawel Gamza took the corner. The audience was convinced that Antoni Parzysz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Borys Lewkowicz was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Cyprian Golembiewski charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cyprian Golembiewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes UNITED GWAREK got a freekick which was hit by Cyprian Golembiewski. In the 38th minute, Antoni Parzysz made a precise shot to the right of Borys Lewkowicz. UNITED GWAREK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. UNITED GWAREK's Pankracy Borkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for CWKS Legia. Antoni Parzysz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Borys Lewkowicz. 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antoni Parzysz to strike the kick off in the second half. CWKS Legia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Cyprian Lampa scored to the left of an out of position Mariusz Mielak, making the score, 3-1. Borys Lewkowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoni Parzysz, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes UNITED GWAREK got a freekick which was hit by Aleksander Furtok. After some careless play in the CWKS Legia defense, Cyprian Lampa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariusz Mielak. The CWKS Legia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariusz Mielak should have stopped the shot. Bogumil Dombrowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CWKS Legia's Borys Dzerwucki was substituted for Witomir Kaczeniak. A collision led to CWKS Legia getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dominik Pruss hit a great ball. Antoni Parzysz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Borys Lewkowicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Antoni Parzysz scored 4-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Borys Lewkowicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. CWKS Legia's Robert Pliszka was substituted for Napoleon Czerwinski. Mariusz Mielak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyprian Lampa in the 91st minute. Borys Lewkowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoni Parzysz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
