The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Herbert Pankowski was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Arsenal.
