An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Clodio in the 23rd minute of play forced Górnik Łęczna's goalkeeper Filip Hatman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Górnik Łęczna defense, Lionel-Andrés Messi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filip Hatman. The Górnik Łęczna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filip Hatman should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Górnik Łęczna getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. After 31 played minutes Górnik Łęczna got a freekick which was hit by Zbigniew Skonieczny. 34 minutes into the game, Pretoria Gostyń's Lionel-Andrés Messi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filip Hatman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 37th minute Lukasz Rekawiczka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Hatman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matt Leblanc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sylwester Chazon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Filip Hatman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliusz Komornicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 45thth minute of the game Lionel-Andrés Messi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Górnik Łęczna's Filip Hatman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Filip Hatman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Clodio's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Julian Biskupiak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filip Hatman. Julian Biskupiak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Matt Leblanc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Górnik Łęczna's Filip Hatman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Górnik Łęczna from getting a goal against them. Lionel-Andrés Messi took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filip Hatman. Filip Hatman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Tomás Clodio put it in 0-9 from a short distance just to the right of Filip Hatman. Pretoria Gostyń's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 91st minute. When the final whistle sounded Pretoria Gostyń left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Górnik Łęczna.
