After a defensive mix-up in Legia Warszawa's zone, Leo Berggren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zenon Pleban came out of the goal and Leo Berggren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ksawery Cichowski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Joakim Bruhn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Joakim Bruhn made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Leszek Podwojski sent off a good shot on target. Joakim Bruhn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Mihăilă in the 25th minute of the match. Zenon Pleban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Legia Warszawa were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after GLKS Wysoka 1949's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Qiu Yang took the corner. Legia Warszawa's Qiu Yang was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joakim Bruhn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alberto Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Pleban having to interfere. Leszek Podwojski came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joakim Bruhn could save by the left post. In the 34th minute, Karol Tomiczek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joakim Bruhn made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Leszek Podwojski sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes into the game, Legia Warszawa's Leszek Podwojski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joakim Bruhn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Karol Tomiczek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Legia Warszawa booed when GLKS Wysoka 1949 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Legia Warszawa's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
