The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lukas Podolski to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernie Gauthier got free with Alfred Chludzinski in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the match, Slaytanic Army's goalkeeper Alfred Chludzinski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernie Gauthier. In the 80th minute Teobald Czermak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Kiepski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Bartosz Nowak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emil Kiepski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Alfred Chludzinski made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Alberto Tevez sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute Alberto Tevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Chludzinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tevez in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfred Chludzinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Alberto Tevez sped through Slaytanic Army's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfred Chludzinski.
