Artur Boruc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 5 minutes into the match, Joga Bonito's goalkeeper Artur Boruc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lukas Podolski. Alejo Eleazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Alfred Chludzinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joga Bonito's Luo Wei Xi got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erwin Rommel in the 14th minute of play forced Joga Bonito's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfred Chludzinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Eleazar in the 24th minute of play. Artur Boruc came out of the goal and Teobald Czermak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artur Boruc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tymoteusz Drab, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute, Erwin Rommel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Artur Boruc. The goal made the score 3-1. 45 minutes into the match, Slaytanic Army's goal looked a bit too open when Luo Wei Xi came free, but Alfred Chludzinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Slaytanic Army getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Tymoteusz Drab hit a great ball. Alfred Chludzinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luo Wei Xi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joga Bonito were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Slaytanic Army's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tolek Turek took the corner. After taking down the ball on Joga Bonito's corner Ludomil Czaplicki fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfred Chludzinski quite easily take care of the ball. Joga Bonito were awarded a corner in the 50th minute after Slaytanic Army's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tolek Turek took the corner. The corner led Joga Bonito's Tolek Turek to fire away a dangerous shot which Alfred Chludzinski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erwin Rommel was the one to do the kick off. Lukas Podolski's late challenge caught a Joga Bonito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lukas Podolski helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Slaytanic Army getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Lukas Podolski hit a great ball. When Jebo Píša fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Slaytanic Army's protests and gave Jebo Píša a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 played minutes Slaytanic Army got a freekick which was hit by Jebo Píša. In the 57th minute, Alejo Eleazar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Chludzinski was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. A hard shot 62 in the game by Luo Wei Xi from a close distance when the talented Alfred Chludzinski managed to make a qualified save. Slaytanic Army's players were relieved. A collision led to Slaytanic Army getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Erwin Rommel hit a great ball. Ludomil Czaplicki kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. With a little luck, Slaytanic Army's Alfred Chludzinski got control of the ball when Luo Wei Xi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Lander Pujadas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Slaytanic Army's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joga Bonito the free kick. A collision led to Slaytanic Army getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Lander Pujadas hit a great ball. After 78 minutes of play, Joga Bonito's Luo Wei Xi made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Chludzinski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joga Bonito's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Rommel in the 80th minute of play. Luo Wei Xi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Alfred Chludzinski made a huge save. In the 86th minute, Joga Bonito's Luo Wei Xi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ludomil Czaplicki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joga Bonito's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludomil Czaplicki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Chludzinski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Erwin Rommel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Boruc was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. The Joga Bonito players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
