Spectators: 8458 (Terracing: 6344, Seating: 1945, VIP seats: 169) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erasmo Clodio started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Cristo Verdu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Björkdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Shadows United's goalkeeper Kurt Björkdahl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damaso Alonso. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zacisze Częstochowa's goalkeeper Miroslaw Gollob, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Shadows United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zdzislaw Kazanowski in the 11th minute. A nice corner shot did that Zdzislaw Kazanowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Miroslaw Gollob quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 13 minutes into the match, Shadows United's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Verdu came free, but Kurt Björkdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Verdu in the 20th minute of play forced Shadows United's goalkeeper Kurt Björkdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Axel Coomans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Shadows United's Erasmo Clodio in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zacisze Częstochowa's goalie prevented a goal. Kurt Björkdahl had great luck who in the 25thth minute grab hold of the ball when Gaston Zárate from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 30 minutes into the match, Zacisze Częstochowa's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Clodio came free, but Miroslaw Gollob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt Björkdahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jurand Cempa in the 33rd minute. Miroslaw Gollob showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Clodio in the 34th minute of the match. After 35 minutes, Axel Coomans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zacisze Częstochowa and the Shadows United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Zacisze Częstochowa got a freekick which was hit by Axel Coomans. The Shadows United fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Shadows United's Erasmo Clodio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Shadows United's Kurt Björkdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Verdu in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes Zacisze Częstochowa got a freekick which was hit by Axel Coomans. Shadows United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Cristo Verdu scored to the left of an out of position Kurt Björkdahl, making the score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Kurt Björkdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Alonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Clodio might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miroslaw Gollob. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erasmo Clodio ran back to his position shaking his head. Erasmo Clodio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Miroslaw Gollob made a huge save. Kurt Björkdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Alonso in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurand Cempa in the 61st minute of play forced Shadows United's goalkeeper Kurt Björkdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zbigniew Konieczny kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Zacisze Częstochowa's Przemyslaw Maldini was substituted for Gonzalo Firme. In the 64th minute, Zbigniew Konieczny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 66 minutes, Jurand Cempa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zacisze Częstochowa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jurand Cempa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Shadows United's Gwidon Pierz got a free kick in the 69th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Shadows United's Erasmo Clodio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Miroslaw Gollob. That made the score 1-2 after 71 minutes of play. In the 76th minute, Erasmo Clodio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Miroslaw Gollob. The goal made the score 1-3. 82 minutes into the game, Axel Coomans threw the ball into play from the sideline. Shadows United's Gwidon Pierz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Axel Coomans made in the 83rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Damaso Alonso. Miroslaw Gollob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Clodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Miroslaw Gollob showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Clodio in the 89th minute of the match. The Shadows United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Shadows United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
