The penalty shot was made by Zdzislaw Kazanowski, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Underdogs's Brak Gola. 1-1. Brak Gola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Clodio in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Kasprzak in the 43rd minute of play forced Underdogs's goalkeeper Brak Gola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Underdogs's Ruud van Nistelrooij got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Underdogs's Brak Gola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Kasprzak in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruud van Nistelrooij in the 53rd minute of play forced Shadows United's goalkeeper Kurt Björkdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Underdogs's Stiff Meister was substituted for Walery Marud. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Brak Gola successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kurt Björkdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apostolis Arvanitoyannis, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Apostolis Arvanitoyannis scored 4-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kurt Björkdahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 79 played minutes Shadows United got a freekick which was hit by Karol Rakoski. 81 minutes into the match, Underdogs's goalkeeper Brak Gola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damian Kasprzak. Erasmo Clodio struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Brak Gola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shadows United.
