The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Underdogs's Kacper Mentus suffered a concussion after 8 minutes and had to leave the field. In the 10th match minute, Tornado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xzavier Falco to maneuver through the defense. When Underdogs's Borys Okopny in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tornado's goalie prevented a goal. Igor Koperski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrzej Budzyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Underdogs's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Milosz Skirzynski fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 23rd minute Andrzej Budzyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Koperski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Tornado getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Dennis Vilchez hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stiff Meister in the 26th minute of play forced Tornado's goalkeeper Igor Koperski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Milosz Skirzynski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brak Gola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Koperski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrzej Budzyn went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 35 minutes into the match, Tornado's goal looked a bit too open when Andrzej Budzyn came free, but Igor Koperski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Andrzej Budzyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Koperski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Tornado's goal looked a bit too open when Apostolis Arvanitoyannis came free, but Igor Koperski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milosz Skirzynski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brak Gola having to interfere. Underdogs's Lasse Penttilä was substituted for Walery Marud. Underdogs made a substitution. Ruud van Nistelrooij replaced Andrzej Budzyn. 68 minutes into the match, Underdogs's goal looked a bit too open when Radomir Lato came free, but Brak Gola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruud van Nistelrooij got free with Igor Koperski in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Tornado booed when Underdogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patryk Kociniewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruud van Nistelrooij blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Koperski having to make a save. Tornado's goalie Igor Koperski was quick on his feet when Ruud van Nistelrooij aimed and made a shot towards the top left corner. The goalie picked down the ball without great difficulties. Igor Koperski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruud van Nistelrooij, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With a little luck, Tornado's Igor Koperski got control of the ball when Borys Okopny tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Tornado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Koperski should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Underdogs could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tornado throughout the match.
