Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hans-Martin Hustveit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Søgaard having to interfere. Emanuel Skjerping was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Elburus Karsakovich capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elburus Karsakovich really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Mathias Søgaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans-Martin Hustveit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stian Strandheim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathias Søgaard having to make a save. If Hans-Martin Hustveit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Joachim Eikeland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Skjerping made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Elburus Karsakovich sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute, Robert Helberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 57th minute Gard Rossebø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Skjerping saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Gard Rossebø had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Skjerping. The supporters of Lechia gdańsk booed when Hjørungavåg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asle Kydland didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elburus Karsakovich in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Skjerping saved Hjørungavåg from getting behind. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hjørungavåg's goalkeeper Emanuel Skjerping, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
