In the 17th minute, Daniel Ovesen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Kurre FC's Oscar Tungland ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roy Bastiansen. Roy Bastiansen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Roy Bastiansen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stian Nyborg in the 24th minute. Stian Nyborg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stian Nyborg got free with Roy Bastiansen in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stian Nyborg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Bastiansen having to interfere. Daniel Ovesen's late challenge caught a Kurre FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Ovesen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kurre FC booed when Midbrød was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Ovesen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Terje Horgen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Midbrød's supporters rose to their feet, but Terje Horgen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ådne Nordhus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
