Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 0) Bent Gaup made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 7th minute, FC Kolvereid's Cato Sletten seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cato Sletten the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Kolvereid protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cato Sletten had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of FC Kolvereid:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC LYN OSLO:s goal. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for FC LYN OSLO. Geir Frøystad stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Herman Kaspersen. 0-1. Herman Kaspersen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ståle Furulund in the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Christian Godø was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Kolvereid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC LYN OSLO the free kick. FC Kolvereid's Laurits Solsvik quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gard Blomvik, made in the 18th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ståle Furulund in the 21st minute of play forced FC Kolvereid's goalkeeper Herman Kaspersen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Fredrik Fjellstad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC LYN OSLO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Fjellstad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herman Kaspersen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ståle Furulund, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Torjus Furre hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Gard Blomvik in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Kolvereid's Laurits Solsvik. In the 31st minute, Adrian Carlsen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herman Kaspersen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. FC Kolvereid's Mons Røyset got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute Mons Røyset shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arild Liane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurits Solsvik might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arild Liane. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laurits Solsvik ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute Torjus Furre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman Kaspersen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, FC Kolvereid's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Fjellstad came free, but Herman Kaspersen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half FC LYN OSLO were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fredrik Fjellstad to strike the kick off in the second half. Arild Liane came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Kolvereid's Ole-Petter Sæter. But to his dismay, Ole-Petter Sæter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Adrian Carlsen hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. With a little luck, FC Kolvereid's Herman Kaspersen got control of the ball when Torjus Furre tried to sneak it across the goal line. Herman Kaspersen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ståle Furulund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurits Solsvik hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. FC Kolvereid's attentive Laurits Solsvik managed to snatch the ball when Gard Blomvik made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. In the 72nd minute Laurits Solsvik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arild Liane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Carlsen in the 73rd minute of play forced FC Kolvereid's goalkeeper Herman Kaspersen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurits Solsvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurits Solsvik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mons Røyset received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Arild Liane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ole-Petter Sæter came free in the 85th minute and tried to tip the ball over Arild Liane, but to the joy of FC LYN OSLO's supporters the ball went over. Mons Røyset fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arild Liane having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Mons Røyset got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute, Laurits Solsvik made a precise shot to the right of Arild Liane. FC LYN OSLO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2.
