Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fredrik Fjellstad started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ådne Tømmervik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Arild Liane when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Arild Liane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Finn-Christian Nystad in the 7th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Finn-Christian Nystad in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arild Liane saved FC LYN OSLO from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, FC LYN OSLO's goal looked a bit too open when Finn-Christian Nystad came free, but Arild Liane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ådne Tømmervik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute Fredrik Fjellstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asgeir Bu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arild Liane made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ådne Tømmervik sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Madlaguttene FF's Erling Raknes got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ådne Tømmervik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arild Liane having to interfere. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ådne Tømmervik sped through FC LYN OSLO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arild Liane. Ådne Tømmervik's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Arild Liane skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Finn-Christian Nystad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arild Liane was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. If Ådne Tømmervik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When Torjus Furre came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the FC LYN OSLO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torjus Furre couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Madlaguttene FF had played much better football throughout.
