Cent Raknes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ola Røyset, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, RBK Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksander Sørnes came free, but Cent Raknes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Krister Lehn struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Cent Raknes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urddalen. John-Edvin Fauskanger might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cent Raknes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John-Edvin Fauskanger ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 32 minutes, Krister Lehn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Urddalen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Krister Lehn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aleksander Sørnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cent Raknes having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Håkon Ånestad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RBK Stars and the Urddalen players grew even worse after the yellow card.

53 minutes into the game, Stig Lundgård was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RBK Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Urddalen the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, RBK Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig Lundgård to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, RBK Stars's Ole-Einar Mossige got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute Sebastian Ekre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rasmus Sandbakken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mons Dybvik fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RBK Stars's protests and gave Mons Dybvik a yellow card for diving instead. Krister Lehns short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Cent Raknes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 74 minutes into the game, RBK Stars's Håkon Ånestad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rasmus Sandbakken made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. RBK Stars's Cent Raknes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save RBK Stars from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Urddalen's Ole-Petter Halleraker got a free kick in the 85th minute. Urddalen's Krister Lehn got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The RBK Stars fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Urddalen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
