Spectators: 7577 (Terracing: 5683, Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 151) Richard Wergeland started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Riddervolds's Bernt Opsahl got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Søren Nordgaard hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Riddervolds's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Wergeland came free, but Ask Simonsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Georg Espeseth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Riddervolds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ask Simonsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Lysgård, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 27 minutes, Richard Wergeland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frøystul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Wergeland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Riddervolds's Bernt Opsahl got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Wergeland in the 32nd minute of play forced Riddervolds's goalkeeper Ask Simonsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If William Vu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Søren Nordgaard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ask Simonsen. Riddervolds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Søren Nordgaard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Riddervolds's zone, Daniel Lysgård stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ask Simonsen came out of the goal and Daniel Lysgård tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bertel Oppedal struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Rikard Aarum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riddervolds. After 45 played minutes Frøystul got a freekick which was hit by Søren Nordgaard. When Bernt Opsahl came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Riddervolds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernt Opsahl couldn't finish the play.

The supporters of Frøystul booed when Riddervolds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Espeseth didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Johannes Ree threw the ball into play from the sideline. Riddervolds's Georg Espeseth quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Georg Espeseth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rikard Aarum having to interfere. Johannes Ree kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When William Vu came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Riddervolds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Vu couldn't finish the play. Georg Espeseth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ask Simonsen was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Daniel Lysgård capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Lysgård really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Rikard Aarum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georg Espeseth in the 78th minute of play. Ask Simonsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Wergeland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Daniel Lysgård got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Lysgård got free with Ask Simonsen in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
