After a defensive mix-up in Frøystul's zone, Odd-Eirik Walberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rikard Aarum came out of the goal and Odd-Eirik Walberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of FC Alutis booed when Frøystul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ørjan Løvlie didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Daniel Lysgård had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Alutis's Odd-Eirik Walberg got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute of the match Casper Røssland sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alf Folgerø skillfully saved the ball. If Odd-Eirik Walberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Ørjan Løvlie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rikard Aarum made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odd-Eirik Walberg in the 31st minute. Olof Sønsterud hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Daniel Lysgård received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Alf Folgerø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steffen Standal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steffen Standal was the one to do the kick off. Alf Folgerø made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Lysgård in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Steffen Standal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rikard Aarum was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alf Folgerø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Wergeland in the 59th minute of play. Alf-Inge Andvik kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Richard Wergeland was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Frøystul's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 64 minutes, Jonathan Tysse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Alutis and the Frøystul players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonathan Tysse kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Frøystul's goalkeeper Rikard Aarum, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Steffen Standal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rikard Aarum having to interfere. In the 76th minute Richard Wergeland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Folgerø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 minutes of play FC Alutis's Olof Sønsterud was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 77th match minute, FC Alutis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Sønsterud to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Lysgård sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Lysgård had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Odd-Eirik Walberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rikard Aarum. Frøystul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Odd-Eirik Walberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Richard Wergeland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Alf Folgerø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Alutis walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
