Aleksander Malvik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoffer Stavland having to interfere. When Øystein Thorsen fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kvarme's protests and gave Øystein Thorsen a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Kvarme got a freekick which was hit by Øystein Thorsen. In the 9th minute, Oliver Skogvold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Aleksander Malvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 minutes of play, Kvarme's Espen Horvei made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Markus Storhaug was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Kvarme getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kenneth Soma hit a great ball. Christoffer Stavland didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 20th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. The supporters of Gressli booed when Kvarme was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Skogvold didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vidar Røkke was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Aleksander Malvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Christoffer Stavland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christoffer Stavland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aleksander Malvik in the 37th minute. Lars-Olav Gangstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Espen Horvei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kvarme fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 49 minutes into the match, Lars-Olav Gangstad dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christoffer Stavland, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lars-Olav Gangstad to make the kick off. In the 58th minute of the match Jonathan Sandal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Markus Storhaug skillfully saved the ball. Christoffer Stavland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksander Malvik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Lars-Olav Gangstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Kvarme's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksander Malvik came free, but Christoffer Stavland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Kvarme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christer Søberg to maneuver through the defense. Gressli's Aleksander Malvik got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Olav Gangstad in the 90th minute of play forced Kvarme's goalkeeper Christoffer Stavland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Espen Horvei in the 91st minute of play forced Gressli's goalkeeper Markus Storhaug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Espen Horvei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kvarme players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gressli.
