Ståle Liberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf-Hendrik Robberstad having to interfere. Ståle Liberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ulf-Hendrik Robberstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peter Evenstad during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lanesøren FF booed when Gravarmarka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Evenstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger Nyheim missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 16 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ulf-Hendrik Robberstad right hand side. Fabian Bang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geir Ekren in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jørund Ferkingstad in the 22nd minute of play forced Lanesøren FF's goalkeeper Fabian Bang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Jørund Ferkingstad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ståle Liberg scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulf-Hendrik Robberstad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Lanesøren FF's Fabian Bang got control of the ball when Geir Ekren tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Gravarmarka defense, Ståle Liberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulf-Hendrik Robberstad. The Gravarmarka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulf-Hendrik Robberstad should have stopped the shot. When Henrik Lomeland fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gravarmarka's protests and gave Henrik Lomeland a yellow card for diving instead. Henrik Lomeland kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Alexander Tvenge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Lanesøren FF's Alexander Tvenge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulf-Hendrik Robberstad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ståle Liberg to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ståle Liberg in the 52nd minute of play forced Gravarmarka's goalkeeper Ulf-Hendrik Robberstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf-Hendrik Robberstad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ståle Liberg's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. A collision led to Gravarmarka getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Frode Teien hit a great ball. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Gravarmarka's goalkeeper Ulf-Hendrik Robberstad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yngvar Vo's late challenge caught a Gravarmarka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yngvar Vo helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Lanesøren FF got a freekick which was hit by Yngvar Vo. Lanesøren FF's Ståle Liberg got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frode Teien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geir Ekren in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Bang saved Lanesøren FF from getting behind. When Jørund Ferkingstad came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Gravarmarka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jørund Ferkingstad couldn't finish the play. Alexander Tvenge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Ståle Liberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Fabian Bang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geir Ekren, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Alexander Tvenge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
