After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Edvard Myran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyn Oslo 1896's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvard Myran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Rykkje breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arvid Erland hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Adrian Urdin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Thomas Rykkje made a huge save. Octav Stroia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Rykkje having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rössaaen BF's zone, Adrian Urdin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Rykkje came out of the goal and Adrian Urdin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Urdin struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Thomas Rykkje didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lyn Oslo 1896. A collision led to Rössaaen BF getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Arvid Erland hit a great ball. If Gualterio Eleder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Gualterio Eleder fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lyn Oslo 1896's protests and gave Gualterio Eleder a yellow card for diving instead. Tormod With received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Trond Bragstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thomas Moe hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Rössaaen BF's Thomas Rykkje got control of the ball when Adrian Urdin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute, Alfred Rodal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Octav Stroia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rössaaen BF's Thomas Rykkje proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Rössaaen BF from getting a goal against them. Tormod With came free in the 45th minute and tried to tip the ball over Trond Bragstad, but to the joy of Lyn Oslo 1896's supporters the ball went over. Octav Stroia's late challenge caught a Rössaaen BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octav Stroia helped the player get up and apologised. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualterio Eleder made a kick off. When Gualterio Eleder came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Lyn Oslo 1896 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualterio Eleder couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute Edvard Myran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Rykkje saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Octav Stroia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyn Oslo 1896's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Stroia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute, Alfred Rodal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas Rykkje made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Eleder in the 67th minute of play. After 70 minutes of play, Lyn Oslo 1896's Octav Stroia made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomas Rykkje was left in no man's land by his defense there! Octav Stroia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thomas Rykkje took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Urdin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Rykkje showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Eleder, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Alfred Rodal's late challenge caught a Lyn Oslo 1896's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfred Rodal helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 played minutes Rössaaen BF got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Rodal. Adrian Urdin struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Octav Stroia might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Rykkje. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Octav Stroia ran back to his position shaking his head. Thomas Rykkje didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Urdin went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 94 minutes of play, Lyn Oslo 1896's Adrian Urdin made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomas Rykkje was left in no man's land by his defense there! 97 minutes into the match, Rössaaen BF's goal looked a bit too open when Octav Stroia came free, but Thomas Rykkje reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Lyn Oslo 1896 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
