Bjørnar Kleveland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Idar Stenvik having to interfere. Morten Benjaminsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvin Stordahl in the 10th minute. Bjørnar Kleveland struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Idar Stenvik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gulsvik IF. 18 minutes into the match, Gulsvik IF's Bjørnar Kleveland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Idar Stenvik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jo Elvebakk in the 21st minute of play forced Gulsvik IF's goalkeeper Morten Benjaminsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Jo Elvebakk put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Morten Benjaminsen. Bjørnar Kleveland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Idar Stenvik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oddbjørn Persson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Nergaardshamn BF getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kristian Bjerkås hit a great ball. Oddbjørn Persson struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Idar Stenvik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gulsvik IF. Idar Stenvik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bjørnar Kleveland in the 39th minute of play. Idar Stenvik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oddbjørn Persson's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The supporters of Nergaardshamn BF booed when Gulsvik IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Vestli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nergaardshamn BF's goalkeeper Idar Stenvik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Bjørnar Kleveland made the kick off in the second half. When Tormod Lund fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gulsvik IF's protests and gave Tormod Lund a yellow card for diving instead. Rikard Guddal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Morten Benjaminsen. Gulsvik IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Oddbjørn Persson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Idar Stenvik having to interfere. After some careless play in the Nergaardshamn BF defense, Oddbjørn Persson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Idar Stenvik. The Nergaardshamn BF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Idar Stenvik should have stopped the shot. Morten Benjaminsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvin Stordahl in the 68th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Gulsvik IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tormod Lund to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the game, Jim Granås was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gulsvik IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nergaardshamn BF the free kick. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gulsvik IF! Nergaardshamn BF's Idar Stenvik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Nergaardshamn BF from getting a goal against them. Bjørnar Kleveland might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Idar Stenvik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bjørnar Kleveland ran back to his position shaking his head. Oddbjørn Persson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oddbjørn Persson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Idar Stenvik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gulsvik IF's Oddbjørn Persson got a free kick in the 86th minute. During the 88th minute of the match Tormod Lund completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tormod Lund a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 90th minute of the match Rikard Guddal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Morten Benjaminsen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nergaardshamn BF's Idar Stenvik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Nergaardshamn BF from getting a goal against them. Aleksander Totland kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. If Oddbjørn Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Nergaardshamn BF players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
