Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Olav Dalene got the match started through his kick off. Gulsvik IF's Morten Benjaminsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon-Erik Torp in the 4th minute of play. Jon-Erik Torp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sverre Sortland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bjørnar Kleveland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oddbjørn Persson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Sverre Sortland made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oddbjørn Persson got free with Sverre Sortland in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute of the match Theodor Arntsen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Morten Benjaminsen skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oddbjørn Persson got free with Sverre Sortland in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 32 played minutes, Gulsvik IF's Frode Arvesen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sverre Sortland came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gulsvik IF reached it. Oddbjørn Persson struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Sverre Sortland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gulsvik IF. After a rather tough play, Nautsund BK's Tore Ulvik got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjørnar Kleveland in the 35th minute of play forced Nautsund BK's goalkeeper Sverre Sortland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olav Dalene struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Morten Benjaminsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nautsund BK. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olav Dalene in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Morten Benjaminsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Jon-Erik Torp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nautsund BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jon-Erik Torp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Morten Benjaminsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Olav Dalene had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oddbjørn Persson in the 58th minute of play forced Nautsund BK's goalkeeper Sverre Sortland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Morten Benjaminsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olav Dalene in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Nautsund BK booed when Gulsvik IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Høydahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Oddbjørn Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tore Ulvik during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tore Ulvik hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gulsvik IF's zone, Olav Dalene stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Morten Benjaminsen came out of the goal and Olav Dalene tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd match minute, Gulsvik IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joachim Høydahl to maneuver through the defense. When Gulsvik IF's Bjørnar Kleveland in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nautsund BK's goalie prevented a goal. Petter Bergerud kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Bjørnar Kleveland struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Sverre Sortland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gulsvik IF. Jim Granås kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gulsvik IF's zone, Jon-Erik Torp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Morten Benjaminsen came out of the goal and Jon-Erik Torp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Nautsund BK getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Theodor Arntsen hit a great ball. Oddbjørn Persson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sverre Sortland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oddbjørn Persson in the 95th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
