The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Espen Naustdal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28thth minute of the game Gard Neverdal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mårnes Goalkeeping's Christer Lassen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Kristoffer Stein's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christer Lassen was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 35th minute, Gard Neverdal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 37 minutes of play, Taco Gjengen's Kristoffer Stein made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 44th minute, Gard Neverdal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gard Neverdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christer Lassen having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kristoffer Stein to strike the kick off in the second half. Hans-Kristian Muller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Mårnes Goalkeeping getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Yngvar Skavhaug hit a great ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Tor-Arne Sigvartsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taco Gjengen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tor-Arne Sigvartsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christer Lassen made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Gard Neverdal sent off a good shot on target. Christer Lassen was a little too slow when Gard Neverdal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gard Neverdal got free with Christer Lassen in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wilhelm Tvedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christer Lassen made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Gard Neverdal sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kristoffer Stein in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christer Lassen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Trond Wolden kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Taco Gjengen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
