A hard shot by Lennart Langnes from long distance, 17 minutes into the match, got Per-Kristian Aksnes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Roy Berntzen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Kristian Aksnes having to interfere. Trygve Le hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, Roald Randen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Faxe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rinde BF the free kick. A collision led to Faxe getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Roald Randen hit a great ball. Arild Myhre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Per-Kristian Aksnes. Faxe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Faxe's Per-Kristian Aksnes got control of the ball when Espen Seim tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Ferdinand Narvestad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joakim Aase was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kristian Haglund kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After having played for 46 minutes, Espen Seim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rinde BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Espen Seim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roy Berntzen was the one to do the kick off. Steinar Osen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Per-Kristian Aksnes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Espen Seim in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per-Kristian Aksnes saved Faxe from getting behind. If Roy Berntzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Trygve Le got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Faxe getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Kristian Haglund hit a great ball. In the 75th match minute, Rinde BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Langnes to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Ferdinand Narvestad took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Joakim Aase to make any attempt to save it. Roy Berntzen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Per-Kristian Aksnes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joakim Aase took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trygve Le, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Roy Berntzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Kristian Aksnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chants of Faxe echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Rinde BF had held the ball for most of the match.
