Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jørn Rynning started the match with the kick off. Jørn Rynning's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kjartan Venås read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Rosta IF's Markus Stordahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Sveum in the 7th minute of play. Andreas Kolnes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lions FC's goalkeeper Kjartan Venås, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andreas Kolnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jørn Rynning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carl Gudmestad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carl Gudmestad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Stordahl having to interfere. If Andreas Kolnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kjartan Venås showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jørn Rynning, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A hard shot 35 in the game by Andreas Kolnes from a close distance when the talented Kjartan Venås managed to make a qualified save. Lions FC's players were relieved. If Jim Øyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Markus Stordahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Øyan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kjartan Venås came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosta IF's Andreas Kolnes. But to his dismay, Andreas Kolnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jim Øyan to strike the kick off in the second half. When Rosta IF's Andreas Kolnes in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lions FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 59th minute, Lions FC's Jim Øyan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After 62 played minutes Jim Øyan rounded Rosta IF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Carl Gudmestad might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Markus Stordahl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl Gudmestad ran back to his position shaking his head. Jørn Rynning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Kjartan Venås tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Rosta IF got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Grønvik. Jørn Rynning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute Jørn Rynning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjartan Venås saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christer Asphaug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Stordahl having to interfere. In the 89thth minute of the game Jørn Rynning who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lions FC's Kjartan Venås was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Andreas Kolnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosta IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Kolnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Andreas Kolnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Runar Stav received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Kjartan Venås tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kjartan Venås made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jørn Rynning in the 98th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
