After having played for 5 minutes, Harald Ingebrigtsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SurMaga IL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harald Ingebrigtsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The attack was good, but when Rikard Torbergsen in the 7th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Rikard Torbergsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gjermund Øvrum having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rikard Torbergsen in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gjermund Øvrum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rikard Torbergsen struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Gjermund Øvrum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skruknotten FK. If Rikard Torbergsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SurMaga IL's Gjermund Øvrum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Engelstad in the 22nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rikard Torbergsen in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gjermund Øvrum saved SurMaga IL from getting behind. Stein Jessen charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stein Jessen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thomas Alvestad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gjermund Øvrum having to interfere. Dagfinn Hilleren hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. When Rikard Torbergsen came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Skruknotten FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rikard Torbergsen couldn't finish the play. If Rikard Torbergsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rikard Torbergsen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gjermund Øvrum having to make a save. In the 44th match minute, Skruknotten FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Alnes to maneuver through the defense. Johan Ryan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kristoffer Fiskum. Skruknotten FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Harald Ingebrigtsen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kristoffer Fiskum having to make a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rikard Torbergsen was the one to do the kick off. Stian Olsen's late challenge caught a Skruknotten FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stian Olsen helped the player get up and apologised. 62 minutes into the game, one of SurMaga IL:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Skruknotten FK. Henrik Rørstad stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gjermund Øvrum. 0-2. In the 68thth minute of the game Henrik Rørstad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SurMaga IL's Gjermund Øvrum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 70 minutes of play, SurMaga IL's Harald Ingebrigtsen made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristoffer Fiskum was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sigve Knudsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rikard Torbergsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Gjermund Øvrum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79thth minute of the game Rikard Torbergsen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SurMaga IL's Gjermund Øvrum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arne Engelstad might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gjermund Øvrum. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arne Engelstad ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sigve Knudsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rikard Torbergsen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Skruknotten FK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Gjermund Øvrum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rikard Torbergsen in the 87th minute of the match. Sivert Alnes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gjermund Øvrum having to make a save. Rikard Torbergsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Gjermund Øvrum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
