Varna's Julius Lomeland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bjarne Dahl in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Varna's zone, Bjarne Dahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julius Lomeland came out of the goal and Bjarne Dahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 minutes into the game, Joar Samuelsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tjieloabme United the free kick. Bjarne Dahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Lomeland having to interfere. Kristian Vigre hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. A collision led to Varna getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alan Meier hit a great ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Bjarne Dahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varna's Julius Lomeland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 23 played minutes Varna got a freekick which was hit by Øivind Sandaker. In the 29th minute, Kjartan Digernes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alan Meier hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, Kristian Vigre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bjarne Dahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute, Kjartan Digernes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute, Varna's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bjarne Dahl fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Varna's Julius Lomeland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Varna from getting a goal against them. Julius Lomeland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjartan Digernes in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Tjieloabme United's Bjarne Dahl got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Tjieloabme United's Bjarne Dahl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julius Lomeland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Jonathan Andorsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 70 minutes, Kjartan Digernes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tjieloabme United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjartan Digernes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Varna's Thomas Nordal in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tjieloabme United's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 76 minutes, Sebastian Espenes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tjieloabme United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Espenes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kjartan Digernes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julius Lomeland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjartan Digernes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tjieloabme United's Bjarne Dahl got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kjartan Digernes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Julius Lomeland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geir Christophersen hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Jonathan Andorsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Tjieloabme United's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Meier came free, but Kristen Heggheim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tjieloabme United were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
