Bjørn Myhra scored 1-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tor-Magnus Finnerud, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Waldemars Gutter's Lars Tungland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Even Ringheim in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Waldemars Gutter getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Raymond Stokkan hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Waldemars Gutter's Peder Finnøy got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Ulf-Hendrik Engelund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Lars Angelsen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Kai-Arne Lee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kai-Arne Lee stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Bjørn Myhra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waldemars Gutter's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bjørn Myhra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tor-Magnus Finnerud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai-Arne Lee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrik Rosenberg's late challenge caught a Cicignon Fotballklubb's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrik Rosenberg helped the player get up and apologised. Waldemars Gutter:s Lars Tungland showed great skill when he stopped Ulf-Hendrik Lura:s penalty. Ulf-Hendrik Lura took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lars Tungland. Lars Tungland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 68 played minutes Waldemars Gutter got a freekick which was hit by Henrik Rosenberg. Ulf-Hendrik Lura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kai-Arne Lee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor-Magnus Finnerud having to interfere. With his leg Tor-Magnus Finnerud managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Waldemars Gutter's Bjørn Myhra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Kai-Arne Lee came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Waldemars Gutter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kai-Arne Lee couldn't finish the play. If Kai-Arne Lee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Waldemars Gutter's Bjørn Myhra got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 87 played minutes Cicignon Fotballklubb got a freekick which was hit by Ulf-Hendrik Engelund. 91 minutes into the game, Even Heggen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waldemars Gutter's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cicignon Fotballklubb the free kick. Even Heggen kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Tommy Heggedal struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Lars Tungland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cicignon Fotballklubb. Cicignon Fotballklubb's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
