Odd Bjørndal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rödmyr. In the 10th minute, Reidar Sirevåg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Kyrre Langøy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Odd Bjørndal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ole-Martin Omholt in the 16th minute of the match. Asbjørn Haarstad scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Odd Bjørndal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan-Kenneth Selvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, AFRIKA's Kenneth Bang got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute Jon-Erik Grønås shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morten Martens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AFRIKA booed when Rödmyr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arvid Halleraker didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 minutes of play, Rödmyr's Reidar Sirevåg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Odd Bjørndal was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute Reidar Sirevåg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Odd Bjørndal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rödmyr's Morten Martens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Rödmyr from getting a goal against them. Kyrre Langøy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Odd Bjørndal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Asbjørn Haarstad made the kick off in the second half. Morten Martens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth Bang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jon-Erik Grønås scored 1-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Morten Martens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Philip Tiller kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Rödmyr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Filip Løvdal to maneuver through the defense. If Kyrre Langøy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Odd Bjørndal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reidar Sirevåg in the 93rd minute of the match. Asbjørn Haarstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rödmyr's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
