Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jon-Egil Torkildsen started the match with the kick off. Inge Sævareid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 4th match minute, Skagnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Trøen to maneuver through the defense. Ole-Johan Brevig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andreas Torheim in the 9th minute. When Alexander Trøen fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skagnes's protests and gave Alexander Trøen a yellow card for diving instead. Alexander Trøen kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bjørn Harnes got free with Ole-Johan Brevig in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexander Trøen got his second yellow card in the match during the 21st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After having played for 27 minutes, Jon-Egil Torkildsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skagnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jon-Egil Torkildsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andreas Torheim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Andreas Torheim kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ole-Johan Brevig. That made the score 1-0 in the 33 minute of play. In the 37th minute Andreas Torheim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole-Johan Brevig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andreas Torheim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ole-Johan Brevig made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Bjørn Harnes sent off a good shot on target. Andreas Torheim hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Hans-Petter Antonsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Sørland in the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inge Sævareid made a kick off. Oscar Sørland in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hans-Petter Antonsen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 59 minutes into the game, Andreas Torheim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skagnes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guttane the free kick. After 60 played minutes Skagnes got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Torheim. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jon-Egil Torkildsen during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guttane's Iver Throndsen got a free kick in the 63rd minute. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Oscar Sørland put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hans-Petter Antonsen. Ole-Johan Brevig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bjørn Harnes in the 73rd minute of play. In the 79th minute, Jon-Egil Torkildsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Jon-Egil Torkildsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole-Johan Brevig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Torheim in the 85th minute of play forced Guttane's goalkeeper Ole-Johan Brevig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bjørn Harnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole-Johan Brevig having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Guttane got a freekick which was hit by Iver Throndsen. Ole-Johan Brevig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bjørn Harnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 played minutes Skagnes got a freekick which was hit by Jon-Egil Torkildsen. Torgeir Hanssen charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torgeir Hanssen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Guttane booed when Skagnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torgeir Hanssen didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Skagnes getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Jon-Egil Torkildsen hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
