The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Tjall's goalkeeper Kristian Brattås had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remi Bragstad. Kristian Brattås was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rune Hindenes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Remi Bragstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Kristian Brattås tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Tjall's goalkeeper Kristian Brattås had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remi Bragstad. Ronny Langvik's late challenge caught a The Wave FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronny Langvik helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Tjall's Kristian Brattås got control of the ball when Remi Bragstad tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Hindenes in the 25th minute of play forced Tjall's goalkeeper Kristian Brattås to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dagfinn Taule came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Tjall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dagfinn Taule couldn't finish the play. Tjall's Kristian Brattås proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Tjall from getting a goal against them. Dagfinn Taule might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Espen Nordeng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dagfinn Taule ran back to his position shaking his head. Ronny Langvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Espen Nordeng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Remi Bragstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Espen Nordeng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagfinn Taule in the 40th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rune Hindenes to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Tjall's Ronny Langvik got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute, Jim Kapstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tjall getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ronny Langvik hit a great ball. The Wave FC's Rune Hindenes got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute Rune Hindenes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Brattås saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 played minutes Tjall got a freekick which was hit by Dagfinn Taule. In the 89th minute, Kasper Forss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Morten Buvik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Espen Nordeng having to interfere. If Kasper Forss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tjall's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because The Wave FC had won, even though Tjall had held more of the ball.
