After 27 played minutes Tjall got a freekick which was hit by Kasper Forss. In the 29th minute Henrik Hidle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Brattås saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Morten Buvik's late challenge caught a Heia Start's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Morten Buvik helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Heia Start booed when Tjall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morten Buvik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dagfinn Taule received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Nikolai Sem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristian Brattås showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Hidle, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dagfinn Taule to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ronny Langvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute.
