Spectators: 7466 (Terracing: 5691, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 30) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Christian Thommesen started the match with the kick off. Didrik Juul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Thommesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Hjellset's goal looked a bit too open when Bjarne Vaksdal came free, but August Dahlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Berisha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Didrik Juul read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. If Bjarne Vaksdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mikael Langeland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. August Dahlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Endre Sagen succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Åsmund Seierstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didrik Juul having to interfere. If Christian Thommesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hjellset's Christian Thommesen got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Berisha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Didrik Juul made a huge save. August Dahlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bjarne Vaksdal in the 40th minute of the match. After the first half Gjelta IF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Endre Sagen made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Endre Sagen in the 53rd minute of play forced Hjellset's goalkeeper August Dahlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gjelta IF's goalkeeper Didrik Juul, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Thommesen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didrik Juul having to interfere. Emanuel Berisha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didrik Juul having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Endre Sagen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Dahlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bjarne Vaksdal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. August Dahlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Endre Sagen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without August Dahlberg having to make a save. Emanuel Berisha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 81 minutes, Emanuel Berisha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hjellset's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Berisha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. August Dahlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Endre Sagen in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Bjarne Vaksdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gjelta IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bjarne Vaksdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
