In the 11th minute Steffen Stornes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Christian Osmundsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Krister Justad during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Krister Justad hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Torgeir Helland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Finn Grini made a huge save. Finn Grini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Torgeir Helland went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Rolf Dang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torgeir Helland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Finn Grini made a huge save. If Rolf Dang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 34 minutes into the match, Stornæve's goal looked a bit too open when Steffen Stornes came free, but Nils-Christian Osmundsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Finn Grini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torgeir Helland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torgeir Helland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Finn Grini made a huge save. Krister Justad hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Steffen Stornes took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nils-Christian Osmundsen. Nils-Christian Osmundsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of Stornæve booed when Kjomme was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steffen Stornes didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rolf Dang to make the kick off. Kjomme's Rolf Dang got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Steffen Stornes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 59th playminute. 65 minutes into the match, Kjomme's Rolf Dang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nils-Christian Osmundsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nils-Christian Osmundsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Dang in the 67th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rolf Dang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils-Christian Osmundsen was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. With a little luck, Stornæve's Nils-Christian Osmundsen got control of the ball when Steffen Stornes tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Steffen Stornes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steffen Stornes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Nils-Christian Osmundsen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Finn Grini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torgeir Helland in the 82nd minute of play. Nils-Christian Osmundsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Dang in the 84th minute of play. If Torgeir Helland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the game, Steffen Stornes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Nils-Christian Osmundsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Stornæve supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kjomme's performance. The match ended with a win for Kjomme.
