Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eilif Marcussen got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Rugland BF's Bjarne Gjertsen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arild Friestad. Arild Friestad yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Arild Friestad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bjarne Gjertsen in the 10th minute of play. Sverre Kilen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Arild Friestad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bjarne Gjertsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arild Friestad was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Bjarne Gjertsen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bjarne Gjertsen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Ørjan Tverberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terje Visnes having to interfere. Bjarne Gjertsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th match minute, Hammeren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morten Kalstad to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Sverre Kilen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Arild Friestad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Morten Kalstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bjarne Gjertsen made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ørjan Tverberg got free with Terje Visnes in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christian Tvete kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Rugland BF's Terje Visnes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Rugland BF from getting a goal against them. Bjarne Gjertsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Rugland BF booed when Hammeren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilhelm Synnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bjarne Gjertsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Terje Visnes made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Ørjan Tverberg sent off a good shot on target. Kristian Roald's late challenge caught a Rugland BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristian Roald helped the player get up and apologised. 78 minutes into the game, one of Hammeren:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Rugland BF a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gjøran Høglund, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hammeren's Arild Friestad. 4-1. Rugland BF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Eilif Marcussen scored to the left of an out of position Terje Visnes, making the score, 4-2. 99 minutes into the match, Ørjan Tverberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Terje Visnes. Rugland BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ørjan Tverberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3.
