Spectators: 6750 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bjarne Gjertsen started the match with the kick off. Terje Visnes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pål Åsland's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After 8 minutes, Pål Åsland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Høybråten IF and the Rugland BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Høybråten IF getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Pål Åsland hit a great ball. Ole-Einar Eiken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bjarne Gjertsen in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bjarne Gjertsen in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ole-Einar Eiken saved Høybråten IF from getting behind. Bjarne Gjertsen scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ole-Einar Eiken, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Sverre Kilen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rugland BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sverre Kilen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ole-Einar Eiken breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the match, Sverre Kilen notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Høybråten IF's Ole-Einar Eiken. Ole-Einar Eiken was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Christian Tvete fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rugland BF's protests and gave Christian Tvete a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Rugland BF got a freekick which was hit by Christian Tvete. Ole-Einar Eiken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bjarne Gjertsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Sverre Kilen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Jonathan Roksvåg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole-Einar Eiken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Rugland BF's Bjarne Gjertsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ole-Einar Eiken made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Ingvar Nyquist kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Høybråten IF's goal looked a bit too open when Bjarne Gjertsen came free, but Ole-Einar Eiken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pål Åsland to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Leirvik in the 53rd minute of play forced Rugland BF's goalkeeper Terje Visnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Høybråten IF's Julius Høye got a free kick in the 59th minute. If Sverre Kilen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Bjarne Gjertsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rugland BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Bjarne Gjertsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Høybråten IF's Ole-Einar Eiken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bjarne Gjertsen in the 69th minute of play. Sverre Kilen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ole-Einar Eiken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Tvete hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Rugland BF's Christian Tvete got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Christian Tvete off the ground. A collision led to Rugland BF getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Christian Tvete hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Leirvik in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Terje Visnes saved Rugland BF from getting behind. Terje Visnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pål Åsland in the 92nd minute of the match. Sverre Kilen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole-Einar Eiken having to interfere. The Høybråten IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rugland BF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
