Fidja's Runar Lyngvær played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymond Sjøli in the 8th minute of play. Jarle Isaksen kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Grunnfør FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fidja the free kick. After 82 played minutes Grunnfør FF got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Aage Fløysvik. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Brustad got free with Runar Lyngvær in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 89 played minutes Fidja got a freekick which was hit by Morten Amdal. After having played for 95 minutes, Raymond Sjøli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grunnfør FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond Sjøli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grunnfør FF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
