In the 6th minute, Bertel Pettersson had to leave the field with a concussion. Odd Thorsø charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Odd Thorsø the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Mæskelven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odd Thorsø to maneuver through the defense. Nils-Johan Bugge hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 10 played minutes Enstape got a freekick which was hit by Mons Helseth. Sigve Meland, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Christian Stien notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mæskelven's Jonathan Skei. Jonathan Skei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Christian Stien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Frank Nielsen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Per Sharma, passed just outside the right post. In the 36th minute, Mons Helseth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Stien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st match minute, Mæskelven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tore Celius to maneuver through the defense. Christian Stien charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 44th minute, Christian Stien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Odd Thorsø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Odd Thorsø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Sharma having to interfere. When Tore Celius came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Mæskelven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tore Celius couldn't finish the play. Christian Stien's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Skei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After 56 played minutes Mæskelven got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Oppegård. In the 57th minute, Christian Stien made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Skei. Mæskelven's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odd Thorsø in the 65th minute of play forced Enstape's goalkeeper Per Sharma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Odd Thorsø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enstape's Christian Stien got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christian Stien's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Skei firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jonathan Skei came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Enstape's Christian Stien. But to his dismay, Christian Stien quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Nils-Johan Bugge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Skei having to interfere. Christian Stien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jonathan Skei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Per Sharma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tore Celius in the 94th minute of the match.
