Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tommy Isdal took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ingvar Oppegård during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mæskelven's Ingvar Oppegård got a free kick in the 4th minute. Tommy Isdal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Skei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svein Schjelderup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in New England Patriots's zone, Tore Celius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars Hagland came out of the goal and Tore Celius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute Ole-Petter Løchen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Skei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of New England Patriots booed when Mæskelven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Tungland didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Mæskelven's Frank Nielsen got a free kick in the 13th minute. Jørn Østhus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Skei. Mæskelven's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 17th minute, Tommy Isdal made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Skei. Mæskelven's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Mæskelven booed when New England Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ole-Petter Løchen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tore Celius succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Jonathan Skei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svein Schjelderup, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 36 minutes, Stefan Gundersen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New England Patriots and the Mæskelven players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, New England Patriots's Stefan Gundersen got a free kick in the 36th minute. Lars Hagland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odd Thorsø, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Odd Thorsø was the one to do the kick off. If Svein Schjelderup had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mæskelven's Jonathan Skei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Mæskelven from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Skei came out of the goal and Svein Schjelderup tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Isdal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Skei came out and tried to block the shot, but Tommy Isdal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 66th minute. Tore Celius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Lars Hagland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mæskelven's Joakim Tungland got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute Odd Thorsø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Hagland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tore Celius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, New England Patriots's Svein Schjelderup nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Skei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. After a rather tough play, Mæskelven's Henrik Lindseth got a free kick in the 91st minute. Jonathan Skei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Svein Schjelderup in the 94th minute. Odd Thorsø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute.
