Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stig Hveem started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Skaun's goal looked a bit too open when Kasper Nordland came free, but Edvard Holtan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Kai-Arne Kvaløy notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FK Åsen's Cent Kleiveland. Cent Kleiveland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kai-Arne Kvaløy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cent Kleiveland having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Hveem in the 13th minute of play forced FK Åsen's goalkeeper Cent Kleiveland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stig Hveem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cent Kleiveland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai-Arne Kvaløy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Skaun's Kenneth Thomsen got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Cent Kleiveland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig Hveem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stig Hveem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cent Kleiveland having to interfere. Johannes Lavik received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edvard Holtan came out and tried to block the shot, but Johannes Lavik slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 34th minute. When Stig Hveem came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Skaun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig Hveem couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, Stig Hveem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cent Kleiveland. FK Åsen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig Hveem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Cent Kleiveland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kai-Arne Kvaløy in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Hans-Kristian Sylta made the kick off in the second half. If Hans-Kristian Sylta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FK Åsen's Cent Kleiveland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save FK Åsen from getting a goal against them. Edvard Holtan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans-Kristian Sylta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the game, Skaun's Stig Hveem nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cent Kleiveland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. If Johannes Lavik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 67 minutes, Stig Hveem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skaun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig Hveem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Kai-Arne Kvaløy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skaun's supporters rose to their feet, but Kai-Arne Kvaløy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cent Kleiveland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stig Hveem succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 74th playminute. Stig Hveem might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cent Kleiveland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig Hveem ran back to his position shaking his head. Cent Kleiveland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Børge Fossnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Stig Hveem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stig Hveem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cent Kleiveland having to interfere. Kai-Arne Kvaløy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cent Kleiveland having to interfere. Skaun played a much better game than FK Åsen and deserved their victory. The FK Åsen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
