If Kasper Nordland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Olsvik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Kristian Sylta in the 18th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johannes Lavik in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Olsvik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Åsen's goalkeeper Cent Kleiveland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Olsvik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Lavik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Best Uten Ball's David Olsvik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans-Kristian Sylta in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Lavik in the 34th minute of play forced Best Uten Ball's goalkeeper David Olsvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan-Aage Bjerkeli during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jan-Aage Bjerkeli hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Johannes Lavik might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Olsvik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johannes Lavik ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jan-Aage Bjerkeli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Jan-Aage Bjerkeli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Best Uten Ball's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Aage Bjerkeli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cent Kleiveland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FK Åsen's Cent Kleiveland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Aage Bjerkeli in the 46th minute of play. After 48 minutes of play, FK Åsen's Hans-Kristian Sylta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Olsvik was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hans-Kristian Sylta to make the kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Jan-Aage Bjerkeli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Best Uten Ball's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Aage Bjerkeli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 61 minutes, Nils-Arne Skovly mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Åsen and the Best Uten Ball players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FK Åsen's Nils-Arne Skovly got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Storm Natås shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cent Kleiveland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cent Kleiveland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magne Tidemann, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Hammer during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Johannes Lavik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but David Olsvik made a huge save. Johannes Lavik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cent Kleiveland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erlend Sørdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Best Uten Ball's Jan-Aage Bjerkeli got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Kasper Nordland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magne Tidemann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Cent Kleiveland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nils-Arne Skovly kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. FK Åsen's Cent Kleiveland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Aage Bjerkeli in the 91st minute of play. The FK Åsen players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
