The supporters of Småland BF booed when Rösnes BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birger Ringheim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th match minute, Rösnes BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ole-Johan Aune to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rune Marthinussen was the one to do the kick off. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Småland BF. The goalkeeper, Øystein Jentoft, was totally fooled by Rösnes BK's Nils-Christian Li, who 54 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Øystein Jentoft showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Marthinussen, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 61st match minute, Småland BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Inge Ryland to maneuver through the defense. Christoffer Ursin hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Rune Marthinussen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Øystein Jentoft, 0-2. Peder Sandbakken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Olav Klæboe having to interfere. Øystein Jentoft made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Rune Marthinussen sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Småland BF getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Olav Gravem hit a great ball. Runar Skålevik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Øystein Jentoft tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Småland BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Inge Ryland to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Rösnes BK's Rune Marthinussen fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Daniel Bergene sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Rösnes BK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
