After 20 played minutes Gjerdneset BF got a freekick which was hit by Per Løvik. When %teams%'s Joakim Løkås was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-0 just inside the left pole, 21 minutes into the game. Espen Grønås was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Jørgen Engelsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Løvik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joakim Løkås sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jørgen Engelsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof Veum in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Strai FF's goal looked a bit too open when Per Løvik came free, but Jørgen Engelsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joakim Løkås who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Espen Grønås when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Strai FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Ensrud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Gjerdneset BF booed when Strai FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eilif Vorland didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Gjerdneset BF's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Løkås came free, but Espen Grønås reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Strai FF's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Vaksdal came free, but Jørgen Engelsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 played minutes Strai FF got a freekick which was hit by Roy Guldahl. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Strai FF had played much better football throughout.
