Jon-Erik Bergene received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Balder Thoen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niklas Hegdal got free with Kristian Møller in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kristian Møller made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Niklas Hegdal sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot by Hugo Aarsland from long distance, 29 minutes into the match, got Kristian Møller's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Fosslandsosen BF's Kristian Møller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Arne Longva in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Sjøen in the 42nd minute of play forced Selås IF's goalkeeper Balder Thoen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, one of Selås IF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 45 minutes into the game, Fosslandsosen BF's Jonathan Fossmo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Balder Thoen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Selås IF booed when Fosslandsosen BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odd Sjøgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Arne Longva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Møller having to interfere. After the first half Fosslandsosen BF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan-Arne Longva was the one to do the kick off. The Fosslandsosen BF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fosslandsosen BF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
