Spectators: 7142 (Terracing: 5642, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Christer Storøy got the match started through his kick off. Rune Heltne took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tor-Egil Grønseth. GALATASARAY SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tor-Egil Grønseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bjørn Ophaug in the 6th minute of the match. After 8 minutes, Bjørn Ophaug made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. GALATASARAY SK's Tor-Egil Grønseth tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Alf Bakker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harald Dalen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Trond Bugten made a huge save. Tor-Egil Grønseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Skjølberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Tennes. Bjørn Ophaug stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tor-Egil Grønseth. 0-2. Bjørn Ophaug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor-Egil Grønseth having to interfere. Tor-Egil Grønseth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bjørn Ophaug's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Truls Nysveen charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Truls Nysveen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Asmund Grimsrud hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Bjørn Ophaug made the kick off in the second half. Bjørn Ophaug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tor-Egil Grønseth having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Tennes's Bjørn Ophaug ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tor-Egil Grønseth. Tor-Egil Grønseth yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 66th match minute, Tennes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars-Olav Granheim to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, John Skjølberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tor-Egil Grønseth. The goal made the score 0-4. Tennes's John Skjølberg got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tor-Egil Grønseth was a little too slow when Bjørn Ophaug got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-5. 78 minutes into the match, Tennes's goal looked a bit too open when Harald Dalen came free, but Trond Bugten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Asmund Grimsrud ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trond Bugten was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. 82 minutes into the game, Asmund Grimsrud was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GALATASARAY SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tennes the free kick. In the 83rd minute, Asmund Grimsrud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bjørn Ophaug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Tor-Egil Grønseth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Skjølberg in the 85th minute of play forced GALATASARAY SK's goalkeeper Tor-Egil Grønseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Rasmus Voll in the 87th minute really tested Tor-Egil Grønseth's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 91st minute, Lars-Olav Granheim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Storøy in the 92nd minute of play forced Tennes's goalkeeper Trond Bugten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tennes's Bjørn Ophaug was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 97th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Tennes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
