Galatasaray's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With a little luck, Galatasaray's Sever Mandache got control of the ball when Håvard Mehl tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Daniel Lysgård fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galatasaray's protests and gave Daniel Lysgård a yellow card for diving instead. Hate Crew made a substitution. Stig Sætren replaced Håvard Mehl. In the 17th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Lysgård to maneuver through the defense. Kjell Bakstad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Sever Mandache skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kjell Bakstad got free with Sever Mandache in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Rosland during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kjetil Sørhus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Åge Brænden, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the match Galatasaray got a corner. Hate Crew's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chris Bergquist ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 29 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Norberg. Sever Mandache made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Kjell Bakstad sent off a good shot on target. Sever Mandache made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kjell Bakstad in the 40th minute. Kjell Bakstad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kjell Bakstad to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Kjell Bakstad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Herman Bjørseth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Mandache having to interfere. After 59 minutes of play, Hate Crew's Kjell Bakstad made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sever Mandache was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Hate Crew's Kjell Bakstad in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galatasaray's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Kjell Bakstad sped through Galatasaray's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sever Mandache. When Stig Sætren came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Hate Crew fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig Sætren couldn't finish the play. If Åge Brænden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78thth minute of the game Kjell Bakstad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray's Sever Mandache was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Kjell Bakstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Lysgård got in the 83rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Kjetil Sørhus handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, Hate Crew's Herman Bjørseth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sever Mandache made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. If Herman Bjørseth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ådne Pettersen hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Kjell Bakstad was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hate Crew fully deserved thier win.
